Stands for alertness, energy; it brings you into an awareness of the present moment.
Increases energy, pulse rate, activity, stimulates inhalation. Vitality.
It carries the energy of contraction, a male energy.

ORANGE

2nd layer of the aura

Orange has the energy of life force, the metabolic or Etheric body.
Maintains the physical body during sleep, and provides the energies of breathing, heartbeat, and blood circulation.
It also nourishes the involuntary nervous system.
Sacral Chakra – relates to the adrenals, and is strongly influenced by genetic patterning.
Orange provides an earthly connection- physical movement, wellbeing.
Resonates to the Note D.
Form – Diamond: creates a dancing experience.
It has a tendency to lift off.
A balance of red and yellow orange is the colour of joy, movement and dance.
It carries the energy of contraction, a male energy.

YELLOW

Associated with smell.
Resonates to the Note F.
Form – Circle: enhances the feeling of balance.
The tension is equally shared throughout the shape - neither contracting nor expanding.
Green gives the experience of being free, the colour of balance.
Green provides a balance of male and female energy.

TURQUOISE

5th layer of the aura

Links up with the higher mental body and inspirational self.
Thymus chakra – closely linked with the heart, and connected with a generosity of life and love.
Resonates to the Note F.
Form – Downward triangle: wants to integrate with the upward yellow triangle, into the green circle.
Turquoise is the colour of freshness and cleanliness.
Calmness.
Cool and spring like female energy.

BLUE

6th layer of the aura

Connected to the causal body, which holds the plan for life that we would ideally love to live.
Throat chakra – centred at thyroid gland.
Centre for creative expression through sound, is significant in matters of communication and truth.
Associated with taste.
Resonates to the Note G.
Form – An opened square wider at the top that opens itself up to relaxation.
The shape is like a chalice.
It is ready to move energy.
Blue has the energy of peace, relaxation and openness.
Female energy.

VIOLET

7th layer of the aura

Violet connects to the Buddhic Body - the higher self, the bodiless body, the true essence, and the greater consciousness.
Brow chakra – transmits the energy of the pituitary gland.
It is the centre of creative visualisation and gathers instruction from your higher self.
Associated with touch.
Resonates to the Note A.
Form – reversed pentagon.
Protects the blossom that is not yet fully opened, but that strives towards fulfilment.
Violet enhances self-dignity and respect.
It gives a feeling for the intangible.
Female energy.

MAGENTA

8th layer of the aura

Magenta connects to the spirit self, the identity, the eternal being.
Crown chakra – relates to the pineal gland.
The centre of spirituality, this chakra connects us to an infinite intelligence.
Resonates to the Note B.
Form – pentagon: signifies the aspiration to completeness.
It is the symbol of perfection in sacred geometry.
Magenta is the colour of the purest spiritual energy, that lets go all concerns and worries.
The colour of release, it transcends maleness and femaleness.
